   Azeem Says...

Writing good quality content for your website can be difficult, but if have official company copy then this can help greatly.
If you have an electronic version of it than that's even better because i'm sure you will agree manually typing documentation out isn't much fun for anybody.

Content is King

blurred text The content of your site is just as important (if not more) as how it looks. Going back to basics, the internet at its core is about getting information across. Your website can look absolutely beautiful but if it has very little to say or doesn't communicate it effectively then it defeats the purpose.

The content of your website can also greatly affect how it well it does in search engines. Google is the number 1 search engine on the internet, it employs a very specific "Googles Page Rank Algorithm" that dictates how "good" your webpage is and where to rank or index it on its search listings.

A rough idea on how it works is Google uses what are called "spiders" to scans (or crawls) through all the pages on your website. They look at the content of each page and pick up keywords and links their relavance to the page. Then Google's spiders index your site.

This is why the quality of the content of your website is very important. You are not doing yourself any favours if the content you provide is weak and badly structured. Instead if your content is rich then Google will naturaly pick this up and "reward" you for it.

To recap, the factors that must be considered when choosing the content for your website include:

  • Properly positioned Keywords
  • Meaningful page titles
  • Descriptive inbound and incoming Links
  • Proper Meta tags (albeit not as important these days)

As always I will help you in choosing the type of content that will be best for your website.
